Xbox 360 Could Experience Price Cut
Posted by: | Comments
With Sony having announced their PS3 Slim recently with a new price tag, Microsoft could hit back with a stinger of their own, although it will not involve any new hardware but a price cut instead. With the 60GB model being discontinued, we will most probably see the current king-of-the-hill Xbox 360 Elite drop its price, with rumors of the Xbox 360 Arcade getting some enhancements as well. Would you prefer to pick up a cheap Xbox 360 Elite or the PS3 Slim if you own neither?
Xbox Micro Makes The Wii Look Fat
Posted by: | Comments
Welcome to Micro Saturday at X-About Gadgets In the absence of hard hitting stories and shocking exposés, we thought we’d turn to the lighter — and thinner — side of the news. Enter the Xbox Micro, a 1-inch thick celebration of all that is good and holy about the world of DIY mods. It took six months to make, with a few clever design decisions along the way, but it looks good enough to make even the ninja-black Wii suck its gut in. Comparison pics with the original behemoth you can lool more here and see the exposed guts of this little beauty.

Xbox 360 Update Full Feature List-It’s the Little Things That Matter
Posted by: | Comments
Wanna know what all’s inside the update you’re gonna download today, besides the fresh taste of exclusivity? Microsoft’s dropped the official list of everything that’s new. Honestly, it’s the little things I’m more excited about.
Here’s what I like:
• Account recovery is faster—great if you play over at your friends’ places a lot, ’cause it takes damn near forever.
• Party invites are less clunky
• You actually get notifications when your subscription’s about to expire
• Achievement browser’s better, and you can launch games from it (yes!)
• Active Downloads and other screens like that are actually easy to get to
• Under My Xbox, there’s a handy troubleshooting section called Solutions that brings together all of the info that was scattered throughout the UI (scary you need this though, I mean, we’re talking about a game console, right?)
• And while it’s not as good as having more than 100 friends, you can sort your friends list in different ways
All of that just seems to add up a nicer experience that frustrates you less often. Plus, you know, there’s all that other stuff we already told you about. I wish I could download it today too, but my Xbox went all RRoD on me two days ago. Enjoy it for me, kay?

I hate to say it, but a stock Xbox 360 isn’t the prettiest gadget in home entertainment. Caking on makeup just masks the problem—what she really needs is a complete makeover. That’s where XCM Black Light cases come in. The case itself is black and it includes a pre-cut window. LEDs inside can be set to stay put on one of seven different colors or cycle through the full spectrum. There is also a matching AirTube wind tunnel which serves as a light-up replacement for the fan shroud. Everything you need to swap cases is included, so it shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes or so to get the job done.
