I wanted a CD player in my Nissan truck so I could listen to audiobooks. This one wasn't too expensive and it works fine. I did not install it myself and had a mechanic do it. The radio as well as the CD player works fine and I've had no problems with it after using it for 6 months. I've never used the remote and don't really understand why a person would need one but it is there if I ever do need it.
One minor complaint is that I can't figure out how to turn off the scrolling display - basically all I want to see is the time displayed. If anyone can tell me how to do this, I'd be most grateful! |
GREAT!!!

I was able to get my daughter the same exact radio that a big box store was selling for $50 less - all without any hassles, defects or problems. Will definitely buy from here again. 6 months later there is no problem with her radio.

Great!! Radio I purchased this for my 2007 Suzuki Burgman 400 Which Fits Perfect in my Glove Box I really like it becuze it's more or Less China Parts,
Except the Romote which is made in China Pray that it will last a Long time as Remote goes, China not very good with Remotes,
But plays great and glad to have it installed,, Been thru 7 MP3 Players don't seem to last but 6 Months thru 1 Year, So this time Purchased a Auto Radio that will last 5 or 6 years or More ,Thank God...

I bought this product almost a year ago and have overall had a great experience with it. My old car stereo was stolen, and so I decided to get one with a detachable faceplate, and haven't had a problem since. It's easy to use and pretty intuitive. This is where things got complicated: Not knowing that much about car stereos, I wasn't aware that it wouldn't be compatible with my '96 Honda. A change was made sometime after 1996, and newer stereos have a different plug system for installation. I had to purchase a $20 harness and have my husband SOLDER wires together in order for it to fit. Others may be more savy than I am, but it would be nice if sellers noted that newer stereos are only compatible with newer cars! We could have had a store like Best Buy install it for us, but decided to do it ourselves to save money.
Other than that, my main criticism is that there isn't really a place to put my fingers when I am pressing the faceplate into place--the whole thing is filled with buttons, etc. Other than that awkwardness, it's held up perfectly and still plays like new. I haven't used the remote control, because I'm usually the only one in the car, but it might come in handy for families who are taking turns controlling what's on the radio--you don't have to be in the front seat to change it.

I got this unit in a rush to replace the one I lost the code for in my Z3. I'm glad I did.
With the free shipping from Amazon, I received the unit in two days. Installation (about 30 minutes) was very easy by following the clearly illustrated instructions. The unit fit perfectly in the dash, looks very nice and gave the dash a face lift. Programming (like setting time, volume, etc.) is straight forward: go to the menu, select, enter, and you're done. In addition to the AM/FM with 18 presets that can be done manually or automatically (for the strongest), it plays CD MP3/WMA. The 3.5mm front panel auxiliary input is very handy for use with iPods, MP3 players, or other external audio devices. The display is very nice and clear, and you can set it to display the time (clock) . Radio signal reception is OK (I have a short antenna). Sound quality, 4 channels X 50W, is good, I did not notice any difference from the OE unit. And the included remote control is an added bonus.
At less than $80 delivered, I think this is unbeatable. |

| My cd player together with mounting bracket was stolen a while back. Not sure if this JVC will mount correctly. So I took a gamble for the low price. It turned out the mounting bracket I bought from dealer fits jvc cd player perfectly. I couldn't find the correct wire harness for it, so I soldered wires together based on wiring diagram found from internet. The cd player has been working fine for a month already. |
