| The Sony auto receiver has great features for a great price. It sounds great, has all the right hook-ups and I only have one complaint. In order to get into the controls or set-up, you have to push the volume button. While driving and turning the volume up, it is easy to get into the controls, annoying. Still happy I bought it. |

$99.99 nice price. I think it was worth it. Sounds great. Much better than my last cd player. Crisp sound and deep base. Good all around. The only things I dont like are the volume control. If you accidentally push in instead of turning clockwise it cycles through 7 or 8 sound options. Very annoying. I just use the remote for volume control if it gets to me. I havnt read the instructions on how to turn of the demo mode. That is annoying too. It flashes different colors and stuff randomly after about 10 of play. I love the usb function for my iphone. I just wish that I could use it as hands free. The beeps come through on the stereo from the phone but nothing else will so its got the capability but not set up that way. An oversight on Sony's part.

Doesn't work.

I installed this stereo in my 1998 BMW Z3. The tuner works fine, but there's no sound from digital devices. Indications are digital devices play, but no sound from USB, Aux Input (IPOD) or from CD. I think it's possible those outputs are sent to another amplifier unit, but I can't tell from the installation instructions. Sony replaced but still same problem. Sony recommended that I get "professional installation." I think the stereo should have come with more detailed installation instructions. Installation will cost me more than the stereo.
I'm all done with Sony. |

This SONY CD player is really awesome! I bought it a while back, got it installed in my car, it works just great. You can plug in your IPOD in the AUX, or if your IPOD is out of charge ..plug it into the USB outlet with your IPOD charging wire. You can also play flash drives with music files on it, CD's WMA, MP3's, the player also has different types of lighting (green or blue).
At first you might think it's hard to navigate, but just take 15 min and read the manual, won't do you harm and once you read it its easy to navigate.
One thing you should know before buying this is , you have to click a button on the CD player and then the case opens up and then you insert the CD...so you don't directly just put it in, but click the player it opens and you put it in.
Coolest feature: You can put a CD in, IPOD or flashdrive in the USB outlet, any MP3 player in the AUX outlet, and RADIO......and you can click whichever one you want to hear. There is a button which you keep clicking until your desired device is playing. So basically you can have your CD, IPOD, MP3, RADIO all plugged in and you can PLAY whichever one you want to all in a click of a button. The buttons are kinda small but you'll get over it.
But this is an awesome product and it's SONY nothing better than it. I think it's great ..highly recommend it. I don't understand why its $99 |

| I got this headunit during the black friday sale for 70 dollars. I have it in my chevy silverado. I have always liked sony headunits but this one is better than any of the ones I have had in the past. It has a cool look to it and you can change the color to either blue or green. It has many sound options and display options. I have it hooked up to polk audio speakers and they sound great. The headunit pushes out plenty of power to them. The display is easy to see during the day time and looks really cool at night. |
More bang for your buck.

| I purchased this deck for my girlfriend as a early christmas gift and we've been all smiles. we love the usb port. The deck seems to make cd's and all audio files sound better. Im not sure if she does but I sure can apreciate the 52 watts per channel and outs for anything that you would want to hook up to it. I have an old cdx-610 from 8 years ago that to be replaced. I plan go with the 630ui or the 930ui model. |

I added the Sony XA 120 Ip to this unit which allows me to leave my ipod locked up in the glove box and the bus control cable
gives full control over the playlist. The USB with the unit will not charge your ipod and it was not compatible with my older ipod mini.
My frend liked my unit and had me order another one for him. I also use the usb with a flash drive when i just want to move a song or two quickly to play
in the car. Great Unit! |

| This has been a great purchase. It is easy to operate, and the I-pod connection has been wonderful. I bought it for the I-pod feature and it really works great. Very pleased with my purchase. |
Can't stop the flashing lights

| I admit I haven't read the manual but I feel like stereos should be intuitive. I purchased this modestly priced stereo because my previous stereo's faceplate was stolen. It works fine and I like having the option of plugging in my iPod. The things I don't care for: the buttons are tiny, you have to open the face plate to insert or eject a CD (the radio keeps playing if you need to do this), and every few minutes the display screen flashes all the features it has (i.e. Zap, satellite, CD, etc) which is really annoying especially at night. It's like police lights, the only way to stop it is to adjust the volume or press a button. It's frustrating. |
Last piece to my system and it ROCKS!!!

| I purchased a refurbished unit for my 2002 Jeep Liberty Sport to go along with the Sony Xplod speakers I installed in September and the sound is AMAZING! I had to break out the owners manual to set all the levels and such, but it took less than 5 minutes and the entire Sony Xplod system all together just kicks butt. I highly recommend this to anybody looking for a good head unit, I also recommend any Sony Xplod speakers if you want to bring out the full potential of the head unit. Wonderful product, couldn't be happier and my Jeep is finally a rocker Jeep! haha! :) |
