I have been a regular Amazon customer since their first year in business. But this is my first official review since I want everyone to know how cool and great this product is. After having trouble recently playing my mp3 home made CDs in my car stereo I started investigating FM transmitters on Amazon.com. This product had the most reviews and most of them 4 and 5 stars. After receiving the product it took me less than 5 minutes to read the short manual and I had my MP3s playing in the car. I love how small and cool the design is, yet it's solidly made and it sounds great. I have it set to broadcast on 100.7 FM in East Bay (San Francisco) area and have had no issues with interference or sound at all. It's near CD quality. For only $35 I am free of burning and carrying CDs. I used all input options (SD, USB Stick, and my Sansa MP3 player) and they all sounded great. I prefer the SD option as the card seats inside the SoundFly transmitter. The remote player has a lot of additional buttons and is very small also and works great. I don't have a need for Bluetooth so I ordered this one, but for those who can use the Bluetooth they also have introduced a new product to support that.
I strongly recommend the Duragadget 3 way cigarette lighter adapter or any other adapter. I can now listen to my MP3 on Soundfly , and charge my cell phone and also plugin my GPS. |

| No matter what I did or what station I set it to, I got horrible static. I could barely hear the music , the only place where I got somewhat decent reception was when I was out of state on vacation :( Wish I could have returned it but its too late now. money wasted. |

This item is great! It works in all three of our vehicles and
our camp trailer. Loading an SD card is simple and the whole
thing works wonderful. Don't hesitate, you'll love it. |

| This works as advertised. Much less problem than playing my Ipod over the radio. I use a SD card with the same songs as those I have on my Ipod. Because of the color (black) I just leave it plugged in to the cigarette lighter and it's hard to find when looking in the window of my car. I'm very happy with this purchase. The player was received quicker than I expected. |
OK for music, NOT OK for pod-casts, lessons.

-It doesn't remember position in the podcast. Next time the car starts it will start from the beginning of the podcast/ lesson you were listening last.
-It doesn't remember if I turned it off. There is a button on the remote to turn it off. But when car restarted it will start playing no matter what.
OK for music, NOT OK for pod-casts, lessons. |
Very pleased, well worth $35

I was shocked to see the size of this device - nice and compact. It appears to be sturdy enough to survive the slight bumping around it will encounter in the car. I've tried both a 4GB SD card and connecting my SanDisk Sansa e280, and both performed well. The remote requires a fairly straight & close shot at the device to work, but I find it a more "direct" method for song/folder navigation. The buttons integrated on the device are easy enough after reading the brief instructions and playing with it for a few minutes. Unlike some reviewers, I like that it starts songs from the beginning when powered up - this may not be so handy for Audio-books though.
The only real negatives for me are that after testing on many stations I've found the sound quality isn't up to snuff with CDs. This is to be expected, but wanted to put it out there. Also, FM in my area is crowded and it's tough to find/keep a weak station so I have to change on occasion. Thanks to the saved stations, that's pretty simply fixed. On a road trip to a more remote area I found it sounded quite nice.
My Nissan CD-changer has eaten all 6 CDs and refuses to play or eject them. I've dealt with listening to FM for many months and the freedom this gizmo has given me back is awesome. I just ordered a 16GB SDHC card tonight and can't wait to fill it and hope to access all songs unlike some bad reviews here mentioned. So far, so (very) good. |
Exactly what I was looking for.

| I was looking for an MP3 player for the car that was small, uncomplicated and easy to use. This Satechi Soundfly fits the bill perfectly. The sound quality is good, the music is clear and there is no background "buzz." I believe the sound to be as good as I can get with the basic type of stereo I have. The device is well made and sturdy. I was going to go with an MP3 device that you actually download and store the songs on, but decided to go with this type that uses a SD card or memory stick. This way I can make custom music mixes on different memory sticks and have unlimited variety that I am able to switch out easily. Hopefully less handling and jostling of the device itself will add to its usable life. Also the shipping and delivery process was quick and painless. I am very pleased with this purchase. |
good product for the price

I've only tried out two FM receiver so far and I really like this one. The first one I had was a cheap receiver i bought as a way to test out the FM receiver product since I've never used one before. I bought this one after reading countless reviews online and the product was within my budget. For a device that takes SD card, USB stick and auxiliary, it has the best sound. I don't think you can get any better sound quality coming from a FM receiver than the one this product produces.
The only inconvenience with the product is that the remote control has a really weak signal. You literally have to put it in a direct path w/ the transmitter for it to work. If there is anything blocking the signal between the two, the remote becomes useless. As far as everything else goes, the device is great for those w/o other alternative means to play music. |

| Soundfly makes it very easy to play mp3's over your car stereo system. I use the sd card but have also used the line in jack. Sound is good, I have not heard any static or interference. I have bought a second one to give as a gift because I was very pleased with the first one which I use everyday. |

| This FM transmitter is very ease to use and works fine, both with pendrive or SD card. Now, except for newscasts, I only hear musics and audio books from it. |
