| Great device for a great price. Everything works well. The adjustable arm is a great feature. Only complaint is that the screen is a bit small. |

I really wanted to like this product. Really. The SD/USB playback idea is brilliant- you don't need to bring an iPod or other MP3 player in the car- just plug a flash memory chip or thumbdrive with your music on it into the transmitter and you're all set. That worked just as advertised.
My only complaint was the absolutely dreadful sound quality. Understand that I'm not an "audiophile"- I don't wax philosophically about the "warmth" of tube amplifiers, and my speaker wires at home don't look like they could be used as automotive jumper cables in a pinch, but even I can recognize the difference between "average" and truly awful. Put simply, this device has no treble! It sounded more like an AM radio than an FM radio.
I gave it two stars instead of one, since it is a versatile, clever, little device, and if you aren't critical about sound quality at all, the positives might outweigh the negative for you. Just make sure you buy it from a store with a return policy just in case, like myself, you just couldn't stand listening to it!
I realize no FM transmitter will give you "CD quality", but the Belkin unit I replaced it with sounds much better- like any FM radio station, which is good enough for me.

great because it has both the sd card slot and a jack to plug any iPod or else.
No so cool because most of the time the sound sucks pretty bad... But then again I have never heard one that sounds good no matter what brand. |

The transmitter I received is slightly different from the one in the Amazon picture, with more buttons. Also, I received a remote control, which is not indicated in the Amazon's description, along with an always helpful audio cable. So I'm quite happy with my purchase.
About the device, it plays the MP3 and WMA files in the USB drive or the SD memory, and nothing else. It doesn't have a function to change of folder, so you have to select the songs by their number (001/300), which is useless, because I put more than 300 songs in the SD memory, classified by folders, and I don't know in which order the device takes them. I would appreciate if it could display the folder's name and change it, without the need to skip all the songs inside one by one.
It shows some information about the song once it's selected, part comes from the filename, and part from the ID3. I'm still not sure what it does, but I would appreciate the ability to display all the ID3 tag information, or at least Artist - Song.
The reading speed is quite fast, with almost no delay between songs. It has a SHUFFLE function, and works also quite fast. The volume of the device is kinda low, so I put it at the maximum level always, and control the real audio level with the car radio. It has 12 preset frequencies: 88.1, 88.3, 88.5, 88.7, 88.9, 89.1, 106.7, 106.9, 107.1, 107.3, 107.5, 107.7, 107.9. If in your city all of them are occupied by radio stations, don't buy it, because the interference between signals wouldn't let you use the device. |

This is an amazing device. I've had one for over 2 years and it worked flawlessly until i wore it out. I ordered 2 replacements but one had a problem and wouldnt work. However, VR3 gave me a refund and took care of the issue in a very professional manner.
Great device, even better customer support. |
Very Poorly Made

| This product plays music through my car stereo very nicely. The problem is that you cannot read the display screen on it unless you pull over. The swivel head stayed in place for about a month and then it kept falling so you had to keep pulling it back up to change songs. I dissasembled it thinking that there was a screw to re-tighten... wrong. It is just a plastic barrel that snaps into place, when it lossens up there is no way to tighten it back up. The 2 gig SD flash card that Amazon recommended only seems to hold about 3/4s of a gig. I have not been able to figure thast problem out yet. All in all this product is not worth the money. |
Very Dissapointing

| This unit lacks the capacity to use the 87.9 frequency that is seldom used by actual radio stations, and is therefore a good choice for a modulator if you want static free and distortion free reception - especially if you live an an area where the FM band is crowded. Unfortunately, we had to buy the unit to discover this essential defficiency. I feel ripped off and I would advise others to avoid both this unit and this manufacturer. |
