Pros: Great sound quality, comfortable, lightweight.
Cons: Uneven "Y" cable--pulls to one side. No volume control. |
Very fragile

These headphones have good sound quality and everything else is in the right place. However, The plug that goes inside your phone is very delicate! Within a week it broke (when I pulled the plug out, the pins stayed inside!) I could still use it , but the pins stayed inside the port - I would have to connect the plug to the pins, and the pins look very funny sticking out of the phone all the time.
To remove the pins I had to use a lot of tricks, and it got stuck the next time I used it again!!
Over time I lost one of the pins (they are really tiny) and without them I could not use the pins anyway. I just had to get rid of it. |
Just like the one that came with my phone...that the dogs ate

| They came in perfect condition with the little radio connecter and extra ear-buds you can exchange for different sizes. So cheap, if you're buying to replace yours, buy 2-3!!! I wish I did! The Sony Ericsson website doesn't offer these; they only offer really expensive ones to replace broken earbuds so this product was a God-send. |
left side of the headphones doesn't work

| OK, so I'll start with the headphones before I get to the phone adapeter itself. The headphones seem to have been built backwards, with the right speaker on the long end and the left speaker and headphone jack on the short end, with none of these wires being of significant length to begin with. This manufacturing flaw (if not done intentionally) makes the headphones almost useless for anything besides the phone adapter itself. On the bright side, there is more than enough length between the two speakers to share your music with a friend, granted one of you has your head within a foot of the device that the headphones are plugged into. The headphones come with three different sized attachments for all ear sizes, and they are "bassy", but not really the bumping bassy that you want, more like bassy because all the higher frequencies are drowned out, giving you more of a muffled sound, even at higher volumes, as if you were hearing the music in the next room. Now for the adapter itself. I haven't had the oppritunity to test the microphone or call answer button, so I don't have a review for those features. I purchased this headset with the intention of listening to music on my phone in stereo. What I got instead was a dull lyric-less "echo" of the music I intended to listen to. I compared this to the rear speakers of my surround sound system (using the exact same mp3 file) and found the results identical. So in other words, the headset only gives you the center rear channel of your music. Given the odd design of the headphones (unless those bought from the manufacturer are similar), the cheap feel of the materials compared to the headset that came with my phone, and the odd results of the wiring in the adapter, supported by the suprizingly low price (but oddly high shipping for such a small package), I believe that this item is a cheap Chinese knock-off made to look like the real thing. I intend to purchase the "same" item directly from Sony so I can compare the two and give a more educated judgment of this item's origins. Stay tuned ;) |
Great headphones for the price

| For around 8 bucks after shipping, these are a great pair of headphones. They fit snugly into your ears and have decent sound quality. Obviously these do not compare to the monster turbines coppers that I use, but they get the job done. I would recommend this product if you're looking for some cheap music. Since they're in-ear, the bass is a little better than ipod headphones, mids and trebles are good as well. |
Useless

| The sound quality is laughable. People here mentioned that it has bass?? There is no bass in this at all. Also there is no sound on the left side because of a loose contact. Don't buy this item, its worthless |
