Logitech Harmony Adapter for Playstation 3

Logitech seems to be on a roll lately, where they have released yet another mouse – the Performance Mouse MX that will feature the company’s very own Darkfield Laser Tracking technology, allowing you to use your mouse on clear glass as long as that piece is at least 4mm thick. Unfortunately for lefties, this mouse was specially sculpted to cater to right-handed folks, featuring a micro USB charging system that allows you to juice up your mouse through a computer or wall outlet even when it is in use. A quartet of thumb buttons provide access to the most frequently used controls, while force-sensitive side-to-side scrolling lets you navigate through Web pages in a swift and easy manner. Expect the Logitech Performance Mouse MX to arrive in the US and Europe sometime this year for $99.99 a pop.
New Logitech iPod Speakers

iPod docks are a dime a dozen, though Logitech’s are some of the most reliable and best-sounding. They’ve got two new rechargeable docks, and we’re sure they sound nice and work well—but there’s nothing new or exciting here.
The S125i, checking in at $70, is totally standard: Universal iPod/iPhone dock, 3.5mm auxiliary input for other audio sources (I like using my Zune, because I’m a rebel like that), a one-touch bass boost button, and can run on 4 AA batteries for around 10 hours.
Equally dull is the S315i, pictured, a little more expensive at $130, has the same inputs, except its battery is rechargeable and lasts twice as long, up to 20 hours. Apparently the “custom, full-range drivers” give excellent lows and highs, though without having heard it we can’t confirm that.
Like we said, these docks are totally fine—if we were in the market for a new iPod dock, we’d definitely consider them. Logitech has a history of nice-sounding, nice-looking iPod accessories and it stands to reason these’ll be perfectly nice as well. But there’s also nothing new here, and we just can’t get too excited about another black plastic and silver metal iPod dock.

Logitech’s new wireless desktop keyboard/mouse set, the MK700, is a nice-looking, if standard, Logitech offering. It’s got a little LCD, shiny black finish and efficient batteries. But it’s also packing Logitech’s new “Incurve” concave keys to sensuously caress your fingers. Logitech promises that its new “Incurve” concave keys and wrist-rest properly cradle your fingers in a way we suppose flat keys can’t. We haven’t gotten a change to use it, but it sounds interesting to have a little gully for fingertips. The MK700 also has improved battery efficiency that yields some impressive results: The keyboard will last about three years, and the mouse about 12 months. Otherwise, it’s a pretty standard set, clocking in at $100 when it ships later this month.
Logitech’s Wireless Guitar Controller For Xbox 360

Back at E3 I had a chance to chat with the folks over at Logitech. If you’ll remember they were kind enough to let me have some hands-on time with their G940 Flight System. However, the moment I walked in the door they saw me eying a different piece of hardware. It was under embargo, so I haven’t been allowed to talk about it. Well today that has been lifted and I’ve been given the go-ahead to tell you guys about it.
It’s no small secret that I’ve been a Guitar Hero nut since the game came out. My close circle of friends know just how picky I am about the controllers I use. (Seriously, I modded an original SG controller from the first game to work with my 360 because I hated the X-plorer so much.) Well let me say right now that I’ve found a new favorite, Logitech’s Wireless Guitar Controller. You might stop me and say “Chris, this is old news, they’ve had one of these out for a little while.” You’d be right, but I don’t play on a PS3, this one is for the 360.

This controller is essentially a real guitar with a solid body and a rosewood fingerboard. Yes, it is smaller than your average guitar, but trust me when I say that this is a good thing. I’ve used the Starpex PS3 guitar which is full-size and it wasn’t nearly as much fun to play. (And yes, I do have a real guitar which is a completely different story.) The weight was about perfect, as was the size. I didn’t have a lot of time to play with it, but during the song I played I found that the buttons were positioned perfectly (an area that other “real” guitar controllers have lacked) and were very responsive.
The two greatest features about this controller are the overall look, and the fact that it is an officially licensed wireless controller for the 360. This is something that I would proudly set next to my entertainment center, and would definitely suggest to anyone playing Guitar Hero or Rock Band on their 360. The only downside is that you’ll have to fight your friends to actually get to play with it. The $199 price tag is a bit steep, but if you’re serious about your gaming, it’ll be worth it when it hits stores later this year.

Posted by: | Comments
Logitech has been making force feedback controllers for PC and console gamers for years. One of the best force feedback racing wheels ever made, the G25, comes from Logitech. Flight simulations are one of the areas where force feedback is most interesting but Logitech has never offered a force feedback joystick until now.
Logitech has announced its Flight System G940 that includes a joystick, throttle, and rudder pedals. There are more than 250 programmable buttons thanks to shift modes to ensure virtual pilots never have to take their hands off the controls.
The force feedback joystick has a two-stage trigger, six programmable buttons, an 8-way hat switch, and analog trim controls. The throttle is a split design that can operate multi-engine aircraft and features push button interlocks. The included rudder pedals are inspired by the pedals in jet fighters and feature an adjustable resistance knob for customization. The G940 system will ship in September for $299.99.
